This W/E in the NT skies
Watch for the Leonids !
That most famous of meteor showers, the Leonids is due to peak this W/E at 04:45 UT, a time which unfortunately does not favor us here in Australia.
However, predictions are often wrong when it comes to meteor showers & we may get an outburst early one morning at any time over the W/E.
Look to the NE sky from about 4 am onwards for bursts of Leonids activity.
This Map shows the distibution oif the dust clouds from comet temple tuttle !

Speaking of astronomy here in Oz, I have just launched my new domain stargazingadventures.com.au , just one page at this stage, but it is something I will build on as time goes by !
GAA has a public observing night at our dark sky site this W/E Sat Night from 6:30pm, hop[e to see you there !
Clear Skies
